FCL & LCL ocean shipping from Ningbo-Zhoushan — the world’s busiest port by cargo throughput — to more than 200 destinations, with carrier-contracted space and stable rates.
Ningbo-Zhoushan Port handles more cargo tonnage than any other port on earth, and BY-LINE sits at its center. As a licensed NVOCC and FIATA member, we hold long-term space contracts with major carriers on the Asia–Europe, transpacific, Middle East and intra-Asia trades — which means your booking is confirmed against protected space, not whatever is left over on the spot market.
For full-container loads (FCL), we operate 20’GP, 40’GP, 40’HC, 45’HC, open-top and flat-rack equipment with free-time negotiated at both origin and destination. For smaller volumes, our LCL consolidation program groups your cargo with compatible shipments in our own Ningbo warehouse, so you pay only for the cubic meters you ship — without giving up schedule reliability.
Every ocean shipment includes export customs clearance in China, real-time milestone tracking from gate-in to delivery, and a single bilingual operator who answers your emails the same business day. Temperature-sensitive and oversized cargo is covered by our reefer and out-of-gauge desk.
Dedicated 20’/40’/45’ containers for volumes from roughly 15 CBM upward. Fixed sailing schedules, carrier-contracted rates and destination free-time negotiated into every booking.
Pay per CBM for shipments from 1 CBM. We consolidate in our Ningbo warehouse with cargo-compatible grouping and deliver on the same sailings as our FCL boxes.
Temperature-controlled reefer containers from −25°C to +25°C with pre-trip inspection, plus open-top and flat-rack units for out-of-gauge machinery and project cargo.

For standard cargo, 7–10 days before your cargo-ready date is normally enough to secure space and equipment. During peak season (August–October) or for reefer and OOG equipment, we recommend booking 2–3 weeks ahead. Because we hold carrier contracts, space is protected even when the spot market is tight.
As a rule of thumb, shipments under about 15 CBM are cheaper as LCL because you pay only for the volume you occupy. Above that, a dedicated 20’ container usually costs less per CBM and reduces handling risk. Send us your dimensions and we’ll quote both options so you can compare directly.
At minimum: commercial invoice, packing list, and sales contract. Depending on the product and destination you may also need a certificate of origin, export license or inspection certificate. Our customs desk reviews your document set before the customs cut-off so nothing holds up the shipment — see our customs clearance page for the full checklist.
Our quotes itemize everything: ocean freight, terminal handling charges (THC), documentation fee, export customs clearance, and any surcharges such as BAF or peak-season charges. Under FOB terms the buyer’s local charges at destination are separate; under CIF or DDP we include them up front so there are no surprises.
Yes. Reefer containers are available from −25°C to +25°C with pre-trip inspection (PTI) and temperature recording throughout the voyage. For machinery and project cargo that exceeds standard container dimensions, we arrange open-top and flat-rack units, lashing and securing surveys, and the required road permits in China.
